The role of zUSD is to create the most liquid decentralized stablecoin that can still scale effectively in the DeFi ecosystem.

Our Approach

zUSD can only be minted using USDC on Base. Minting and redeeming is permissionless. Zu is the governance token of the Zulu protocol, eventually all control of the protocol will be ceded to Zu token holders. After this point all changes to the protocol will be voted on by governance token holders. Examples of changes might include, percentages of different assets in the backing, changes to the AMO contracts, deployments on additional chains, etc.
